Elizabeth Ducie

Elizabeth Ducie was born and brought up in Birmingham. As a teenager, essays and poetry won her an overseas trip via a newspaper competition. Despite this, she took scientific and business qualifications and spent more than thirty years as a manufacturing consultant, business owner and technical writer before returning to creative writing in 2006. She has written short stories and poetry for competitions—and has had a few wins, several honourable mentions and some short-listing. She is published in several anthologies. Under the Chudleigh Phoenix Publications imprint, she has published one collection of short stories and co-authored another two. She also writes non-fiction, including how-to books for writers running their own small business. Her debut novel, Gorgito’s Ice Rink, was runner-up in the 2015 Self-Published Book of the Year awards and has recently won a Chill with a Book READERS' Award. The first in the Suzanne Jones series, Counterfeit!, came third in the 2015 Literature Works First Page Writing Prize. Elizabeth is editor of the Chudleigh Phoenix Community Magazine. She is a member of the Chudleigh Writers’ Circle. Exeter Writers, West of England Authors and ALLi (The Alliance of Independent Authors)

My Review Of This House - A National Theatre And Chichester Theatre Production

Anyone who was taking notice of British politics during the 1970s will no doubt remember the ping-ponging of government between Labour and the Conservatives; the speeches and pronouncements of Edward Heath and Harold Wilson; and the ever-shrinking majority that paralysed the country for months, if not years.

Review: The Flying Lovers of Vitebsk

The Final Reckoning

The Final Reckoning is an atmospheric, twisty thriller set in the peaceful (or maybe not so peaceful) Herefordshire countryside.

When Lindsay Ellis was a teenager,  he stumbled across the dead body of her boyfriend Simon’s father, who had been battered to death.

Someone in the village knows who murdered Simon's father, and why.

Does the actual killer suspect Lindsay also knows the identity of the murderer, and is Lindsay now in great danger, too?
